Our Healthy Guide to Uptown Dallas

Pressed Uptown Dallas

Fuel up at Pressed in Uptown Dallas (shown above) to start your adventure off right. Slam a Wellness Shot and grab a green juice (we recommend greens 3!) to tote along with you as you explore the area. Staying well-hydrated with juices will ensure you don't wilt in the Texas sun before enjoying all the neighborhood has to offer!

Pressed's plant-based soft serve, smoothie bowls, cold pressed juices, smoothies and shots all make healthful options for mini-breaks throughout the day, so park close-by and make this your healthy hub for the morning or afternoon!

Pressed is set in the middle of the action on McKinney Avenue, the neighborhood’s centrally-located block. A stroll down McKinney yields endless social options to explore, all decorated with colorful motivational quote street art that’s sure to infuse some positive energy into your day.

Foxtrot Artisan Market

Curated artisan goods, including plenty of local faves, are available in this eclectic market. The beverage options alone cover anything from CBD-infused canned drinks to hard kombucha and boutique fine wines. Stop in for a grab-and-go lunch or snack, or design your own at-home date night with all the trimmings. We also love this shop if you’re in the market for a fun gift for the foodie in your life - Foxtrot will even gift-wrap and ship nationwide! Browsing their self-care and wellness section was a highlight of the day. Short on time? Order your goods from the store to your door with under-an-hour local delivery.

Mini Luxe

Love a good mani-pedi moment but not a fan of the toxic chemicals used in most nail salons? We feel you. This conscious nail spa makes clean beauty more chic than ever, with their own product line called “Pure Polish” that the owners intentionally engineered to be 8-free, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. It’s honest polish at its finest, in a beautifully-designed setting, where the focus is all about self-care. Perfect for a treat-yourself day with a friend.

Hotworx

This buzz-worthy new workout is the hottest fitness option (literally) on the scene. The patented sauna at Hotworx combines heat, infrared, and exercise in a “3D training” format.  They also provide virtual instruction where you have the choice between a 30-minute isometric training session or 15-minute HIIT workout. You’ll get the detoxification benefits of infrared heat, while allowing your muscles to relax as you build strength. Best of both, and yes, we felt amazing after a sweat session here.

Pilates Methodology

Welcome to the most luxe Pilates studio ever. If you’ve ever wanted to do a Pilates workout in a chic Parisian apartment (and who wouldn’t), you’ll feel right at home in the environment here. Don't be fooled; while pilates may be one of the most graceful-looking workouts out there, a session on a Pilates Reformer will leave you spent from head-to-toe. You’ll find just about every form of Pilates at this studio, from mat classes to traditional Reformer classes.

Klyde Warren Park

This urban green space spans 5.2 acres and offers a little something for everyone. Read: if you’re looking for fresh air and a mental break in downtown Dallas, stop here. The park hosts daily free events open to the public, including yoga classes, lecture series, outdoor films, outdoor concerts and even a rotation of food trucks. Meet a friend for a run, schedule a date for one of their free events or make a pet date with your pup at the fenced-in dog park!

Dallas Museum of Art

Craving a little culture? Pop in to The Dallas Museum of Fine Art for an afternoon of perusing the galleries and current exhibitions on rotation. While the collection here is broad (the museum houses over 24,000 pieces spanning a time period of 5,000 years!), we especially enjoyed the collection of Texas art to get a feel for the city’s creative artistry.

The Little House on Routh

The Little House on Routh is owned and operated by a Dallas husband and wife team, who run the Iman Project, a local collective focused on bringing the community together around style, design, and farmhouse table workshops. The Little House Project location in the heart of Uptown is their lifestyle studio used for pop-ups, special events, and dinners. Bring a friend and book the space on its own or ask for their ‘workshop package,’ a day filled with beautiful florals and tablescapes, refreshments and lunch or dinner service, and plenty of creative inspo.

Hey, Dallas: Grab a friend, head to Pressed and enjoy Uptown Dallas in style!
