Tell us about the inspiration behind your label and how it connects to Black History Month.

I think of my family and love during Black [History] Excellence month. I wanted to display the bond between a father and child; a moment that is untainted. Many Black men are devout fathers excited to guide, feed and equip their newborn with the skills to persevere and inspire. My father gave me the support and education needed to follow my passions; a blessing I now echo through my community.

Is there any special symbolism in the figures chosen or the colors used?

This label pays homage to proud fathers and parental bonding.

How would you describe your artistic process?

When creating a commission, I want to learn who/what they are – break down what composes the brand, isolating the personality, origins, partnerships, the DNA that make up the star. Blending that essence with my vision manifests the drive and focus I need to execute a concept.

How did you get your start as an artist?

I’ve always been captivated by the illuminance of color and the expansion a creative mind can reach. When my imagination overlays my reality -- staring at a cloud too long or reading tales of myths and legends. -- I find illustrating those conceptual blurs to be my way of expression.

When you’re not busy creating art pieces, how do you like to spend your free time?

When I’m not creating art, I often assist other artist as a consultant, connecting them to other artist or new companies, interviewing and documenting artist, thinking of ways to make art more engaging, and most of all, feeding the starving artist.

When I’m not designing art, I love to create pairings between fluffy desserts and bespoke cocktails, snowboard the Big Bear mountains and experience unique adventures this vast world has to offer.
